Our Doctor
Dr. DiResta is a graduate of Boston College, he received his Doctorate in
Podiatric Medicine from the Temple University School of Podiatric
Medicine, and he completed his residency training in podiatric surgery
at Northlake Hospital in Illinois. Dr. DiResta received a Masters Degree
in Public Health from Dartmouth Medical School. He is board certified
by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is a Fellow of the
American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He currently serves as
Chair of the Podiatric Health section of the American Public Health
Association. He is Vice President and a member of the Board of
Trustees of the Massachusetts Podiatric Medical Society and is the
Chair of the Public Health Committee. He is also a member of the
APMA Public Health and Preventative Medicine Committee. He was
recently appointed President of the Community Service Foundation of
MPMS.
Dr. DiResta is on the Active Medical Staff of the Surgical Service of the
Anna Jaques Hospital where he serves on the medical staff bylaws
committee. He is also a corporator of the hospital's parent organization
Seacoast Regional Health Systems. Dr. DiResta is on the Board of
Directors of the Whittier IPA and has served as a steering committee
member for Wellport, an electronic health information network.
His research work involves quality improvement projects, patient
education and screenings as well as initiatives to change provider
practice behavior. He is the mentor for the Post Doc Podiatric Public
Health Fellowship at The Dartmouth Institute scheduled to begin in
2012.
