We’ve gone electronic!
The greater-Newburyport community can now exchange medical information electronically
using an exciting new program called Wellport. Wellport will help your doctors access your
information more quickly and take better care of you and your family.
We’ll be asking each patient to either opt in or opt out of Wellport. We hope you’ll choose to
participate!
What does this mean for you?
• If your or your child goes to the emergency room, physicians will know about
your medical conditions, test results, medications, and allergies.
• You’ll save time by filling out less paperwork and having fewer duplicate lab
tests.
• Wellport could prevent medical errors—and may even save lives.
If you have any questions, just ask at the front desk. We have a handout with frequently asked
questions that we’d be happy to give you.
